Who We Are
The American Legion Riders (ALR) consist of Legion family members that have a passion for riding motorcycles. Comprised of Legion (Veterans), Sons of the Legion (SAL), and the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA), we make our presence known for the good of the American Legion. We gather in numbers to show our pride in helping our organization, the American Legion, accomplish its mission to always be there for our veterans. The ALR brings together Legion, SAL and ALA members to work together in all their endeavors.
Leading the Way
Honoring Our Veterans
We present the colors of the American Flag and of the Service Branches in parades and at ceremonies.
The most humbling service we provide is when a family, Lays to Rest, their beloved Veteran. We take Honor and Pride in providing an Escort and Flag Line as the Veteran receives their Last Rights and Military Honors.
Proud to Honor
Camaraderie
Warm weather you will find the Legion Rider doing what they love most... Rolling down the open highway and visiting surrounding communities. Especially those communities that have memorials dedicated to honor our veterans. Such as the Freedom Rock Tour created by Ray "Bubba" Sorensen II. Each of Iowa's 99 counties will have a Freedom Rock painted by Ray.
We also enjoy partaking of local cuisine.
